Point of Destination Cafe- Greene and Upsal Street Station

The Point of Destination Cafe, 6460 Greene Street, Philadelphia PA
I would like to make a confession: I am a latte-aholic. I have been know to frequent coffee shops in pursuit of a good barista, at least semi capable of creating the foamy drink. I would like to make another confession: I am IN LOVE with the lattes at The Point of Destination Cafe. Not because the owner draws designs in the foam ( which isn't as easy as it sounds) and not because I feel better about doing my part by contributing to the small businesses of America (which isn't much, considering how much of a mess our economy is in right now...). I love them here because they taste like espresso with milk, not milk with espresso. I love them because they don't come with a fancy logo slapped on the front of the cup, or with a a line of people shouting out your order and built with the speed that conveys "hurry up and get out". They're made by people who create and make food and drinks that they would consume themselves. And because it is 6:45 in the evening and way too late to feed my habit, I digress on the coffee talk...for now.

The Point of Destination Cafe is located at Greene and Upsal Street Station, in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. It's a cozy little cafe (complete with it's own sustainable garden), that's cozy enough for a mid day afternoon lunch date, but large enough to host a gathering with friends. The menu consists of breakfast and lunch, and on certain Fridays, a soul food dinner complete with a movie on tap. The food is great( I highly recommend the Turkey Pastrami Reuben) and reasonably priced. The watresses and staff are all  friendly and it's easy to see why patrons have their favorites and for people like me who need 24 hour access to the Internet, free Wi-Fi . And with space on the second floor, complete with a stage, The Point of Destination also caters and hosts events such as a birthdays, holiday parties, book signing and more!
